Billy Mize (April 29, 1929 – October 28, 2017) He had his first release in 1957, but he didn't have a hit until 1966 with "You Can't Stop Me" at No. 57 on the US Country chart. He had two top forty country hits with ''Make it Rain'' at No. 40 in 1969 and 'It Hurts to Know the Feeling's Gone," his biggest hit, at No. 31 in 1976. His last hit was "Livin' Her Life in a Song" in 1977 at No. 68.
NOTE: I found the above I believe on YouTube. I would personally categorize the No. 31 song as a "minor hit," and all the others as merely chart entries, not demeaning Mize's talent as a singer, songwriter, or performer, but how I define "hits" in general. Length of time on the chart, and some other factors, can raise the stakes in calling borderline charters as "hits."
