This was the motel owned by Roy Gabe in the mid-1960s. It was located in Argus, but we referred to the entire area as Trona, where the large American Potash chemical plant stood. Roy, though, worked at the smaller plant, Stauffer Chemical, in Westend where he was a shipping department foreman.
