"Dontcha, dontcha step on my blue suede shoes..."

Yeah, lay off my blue suede shoes. I bought a pair at a department store in Joplin, Mo., but not because of the popular song at the time by Carl Perkins (pictured above), nor because they were suede, certainly not because they were blue. I was just looking for another pair of non-lace ups to replace my worn out ( I could say spent) penny loafers. I liked the snap-top.
